It breaks my heart to read the hurt my sweet friends have endured throughout their life. I am not immune either. But I am thankful that we can turn to a loving God who knows all things and grows us through our sufferings. Appreciate you, Liz! ♥️

We need beautiful reminders of God's tremendous empathy for us in our suffering. Today I was thinking about Jesus washing the disciples' feet in John 13. I can picture the pain and suffering from other's rejection and sin as dirt on my feet, and let Jesus wash that off. Thank you Liz Collard Arnold for a beautiful post!

Thank you for sharing this. There’s so much honesty and depth here, I just want to sit with it for a while. Sometimes the way someone tells their story is enough, no extra words needed. This was one of those moments.

Some wounds are old enough to have their own zip code, but that doesn’t mean they get to be your permanent address. I like how you didn’t rush past the anger or dress it up for church. You sat with it long enough for God to sit down next to you, and that’s where the real alchemy starts.

I teared up in the last few paragraphs where God met with you in your anguish. It is so beautiful and heartwrenching at the same time. It is honest and real, and I believe this will help anyone who reads it.
